The need for an air-conditioner (AC) goes without saying to escape the heat. AC has now become a necessary accessory in our daily life. 

There are many types of AC in the market. Choosing the desired and required AC from various types is a lot of trouble. So it is important to know some things before buying AC.

There are two types of AC in the market. such as inverter AC and fixed speed AC (non-inverter). The inverter can control the speed of the AC compressor; which regulates the temperature. 

However, inverter AC is more expensive than non-inverter AC. Inverter AC also plays a role in saving electricity.

The higher the wattage of the AC, the higher the electricity consumption. There is also a difference in AC prices based on wattage. 

The price of 1 ton 690 watt inverter AC is relatively higher than 1 ton 1 thousand 170 watt inverter AC. Although the performance is almost the same, the electricity bill of the 690 watt AC will be lower. 

Usually newer model ACs are relatively low wattage, energy efficient and cost more.

Buying AC of right size according to room size will save money and electricity. In this case, 1 ton, one and a half ton and 2 ton AC are suitable for 120 square feet, 180 square feet and 240 square feet respectively.

 It will depend on the level of the floor and the number of windows in the room. AC should be installed in the right place of the room. A Spit AC has a compressor unit outside the room.

It is not enough to buy AC and set it at home. AC servicing and cleaning should be done by a professional at least twice a year. It is important to keep this aspect in mind before buying AC.
