If the Android device is lost

If you lose your Android device, the easiest way to find it is 'Android Device Manager'. In that case, the user can 'ring' the lost Android, 'lock' it with a new password or delete it completely from their web browser or other Android device.

However, what if the user does not have access to his computer or even his other Android device? It is for this purpose that the most recent update has arrived in Android Device Manager.

Now, apart from own computer, users can also identify their Android device from a friend's device. But its main condition is that if its two-level verification system is activated, he must use any one of the backup codes used in it. This is a warning, which means that the user should print the codes and carry them with him.

Tech site Senate has outlined some easy ways to find your device if a user has a backup code.

Step 1: Open the Android Device Manager app. Next, tap on the 'User Name' menu at the top of the screen. Select a 'Guest'.

Step 2: Enter the Gmail and password used for login on your device. Enter the backup code in the two-step verification system box.

Step 3: Select your lost device from the list and select the required operations to help locate it. Once the process is complete, press the 'Sign Out' option at the top of the screen.
