India bans 14 messaging apps including emojis


India recently banned 14 messaging apps on smartphones. Militants mainly from Pakistan are using various messaging apps to communicate with their supporters to carry out attacks in India. 

Therefore, a total of 14 messaging apps including IMO have been banned in India to prevent attacks.


According to intelligence, these messenger apps are being used in different countries of the world including India. 

And it is very easily accessible. But recently the apps were becoming dangerous for national security in India. 

Preparation of terrorist attacks, smuggling of news and keeping in touch with their supporters in the country were going on through these apps.

They also alleged that the apps were violating Indian laws. Due to which India decided to ban them. Blocked 'dangerous' apps under IT section 69A. 

Banned apps are Crypvisor, Enigma, SafeSwiss, Wickreme, Brear, BChat, MediaFire, Nandbox, Conion, Element, Second Line, Zangi, Threema and Imo.
